The Bekaa is a high flat valley between two ranges, cold at night and hot by noon, and a damask rose grown there holds its scent better than one grown at sea level. The picking is over by eight in the morning; by the afternoon the same petals are in the still.
The Rose Mist is that water and nothing else. One ingredient, and the first thing this house ever sold. People ask what is in it often enough that the answer is printed on the bottle in full, which takes one line.
It smells like roses because it is roses. There is no fragrance added to it, which is why the smell does not last all day, and why it is different in a hot May from a cold one.
