Orange blossom
Distilled in spring; the peel goes into the Bright Drops
The season is about ten days long and it is entirely at the mercy of the weather. The flowers are picked in the morning, driven up the same day, and go into the copper still that evening, because orange blossom left overnight in a crate is orange blossom that smells of a crate.
What comes off the still is a water, and the water is what goes into the Serum. The peel is a separate thing altogether, pressed for the Bright Drops, and it is the only part of this shop that smells like the thing people expect a shop like this to smell of.
If you ever smell an orange blossom product and it smells sweet, that is not orange blossom. The real one is green underneath, almost bitter, and it fades.
