What is in it

Sweet almond oil from Aley, orange blossom from Nabatieh.

Sweet almond oil, orange blossom water, castor oil, beeswax, vitamin E. That is the whole list.

Every ingredient 6

  1. Prunus amygdalus dulcis oilsweet almond, Aley

    A soft, unfussy oil pressed from almonds grown on the terraces above Aley. It sits on the skin rather than sinking straight through it, which is why it is the base of eleven of the twelve.

  2. Helianthus annuus seed oilsunflower

    A light oil that carries the heavier ones and keeps a balm from feeling like grease.

  3. Cera albabeeswax

    What makes a balm a balm. It sits on top and stops water leaving.

  4. Butyrospermum parkii buttershea

    A thick butter from the shea nut. Rich enough that a little is plenty.

  5. Citrus aurantium amara flower waterorange blossom, Nabatieh

    Distilled from the blossom in spring, over about three weeks. It is what most of these smell of, and the peel of the same fruit is what brightens the Bright Drops.

  6. Tocopherolvitamin E

    Tocopherol. It keeps the oils in the bottle from turning, and it is good for the skin while it is doing that.

And what is not in it

  • No fragrance added. What you smell is the rose, the orange blossom or the laurel.
  • No essential oils used as perfume.
  • No alcohol denat.
  • No silicones.
  • No claim that any of this is clinically proven, because none of it has been through a clinical trial.
